xAI’s Grok Chatbot Integrates with Telegram in $300M Deal
In a groundbreaking partnership, Elon Musk’s xAI has integrated its innovative AI chatbot, Grok, into the popular messaging platform, Telegram. This strategic collaboration, announced by Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, marks a significant leap for both companies.
The one-year agreement will see Grok rolled out to Telegram’s massive user base of over one billion. The deal includes a substantial $300 million payment to Telegram, encompassing both cash and equity, plus 50% of the revenue generated from xAI subscriptions sold through the platform. Durov expressed optimism about the synergistic potential, stating, “Together, we win.”
Grok’s Enhanced Telegram Experience
A promotional video showcased the seamless integration of Grok, enhancing Telegram’s functionalities significantly. Users can access Grok through the search bar, unlocking features including threaded chats, intelligent text editing, chat summaries, and more.
While neither xAI nor Grok has independently confirmed the deal, the announcement sent ripples through the tech world. Speculation is mounting about Musk creating his own Telegram channel.
Toncoin’s Surge
This announcement coincided with other significant Telegram news, including BlackRock’s involvement in a $1.5 billion bond sale and the appointment of a former Visa executive to the TON Foundation. Telegram’s close ties with the TON Foundation and its selection of Toncoin (TON) as the exclusive cryptocurrency for app services further fueled the excitement.
Consequently, Toncoin experienced a remarkable 20% surge, currently trading at $3.6 and holding the 19th position among cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
