Solana Price Prediction: Will SOL Hit $130 Before its Next Bull Run?
The cryptocurrency market has experienced significant volatility recently, with Solana (SOL) retracing 10% in the past week amidst global uncertainty. While some analysts believe a correction is nearing its end, others caution about a potential dip below crucial support levels before any significant upward movement.
After testing the $168 resistance last Wednesday, SOL has retreated to the $140 zone, representing a 15% pullback from its monthly highs. The coin has traded within the $145-$180 range since its May breakout, struggling to reclaim the $160-$170 mid-zone.
Analyst Lluciano, while acknowledging a potential further dip, maintains a bullish outlook, emphasizing SOL’s impressive performance since April. The analyst notes a breakout from a falling wedge pattern (upper boundary around $155-$160) could propel SOL towards May’s $187 high and potentially retest the $240 mark.
Trader Rose shares a similar sentiment, highlighting SOL’s consolidation above the $145 resistance and 50-day Moving Average (MA). This consolidation, if confirmed, could trigger a rise towards $165, $183, and $220.
Conversely, Crypto Bullet predicts SOL will retest the April consolidation range ($125-$135) before a bounce back. This correction, according to the analyst, would precede a surge past $200, reaching $220-$250 targets.
Offering a more cautious perspective, Altcoin Sherpa believes Solana won’t replicate its first-half performance, expecting it to underperform Bitcoin (BTC) in the long term, except for brief periods. While not declaring SOL “dead,” the analyst notes it’s unlikely to see the explosive growth of 2021/2024. Currently, SOL is retesting its late November 2023 support levels against BTC, a critical area that previously led to significant price drops.
In summary, the outlook on Solana remains divided. While several analysts foresee a bullish future, concerns remain about its relative performance against Bitcoin. As of writing, Solana trades at $145, down 12.1% monthly.
