Chainlink’s Path to a New ATH: Can LINK Break the $20 Resistance?

A recent analysis suggests Chainlink (LINK) could be poised for a significant price surge, potentially reaching a new all-time high (ATH). The key? Breaking through a crucial resistance level around $20.

Analyst Ali Martinez, leveraging data from IntoTheBlock, highlights a significant on-chain cost basis concentration between $18.4 and $26.3. This range represents a substantial number of addresses (approximately 100,220) holding a significant amount of LINK (57.2 million). This concentration, as illustrated in the chart below, signifies a potential resistance zone.

The significance lies in investor psychology. The $20 area represents a critical cost basis for many holders. A retest of this level could trigger profit-taking from those currently in the red or encourage further accumulation from those already in profit. The scale of this concentration suggests a potentially significant market reaction.

While the $20 level presents a substantial obstacle, Martinez suggests that a successful breach could pave the way for a relatively unimpeded rally towards a new ATH. The lack of substantial cost basis concentration above this level suggests reduced selling pressure at higher prices.

Further analysis reveals additional potential support levels should a price correction occur, notably around $13 to $15 and $11 to $13. These zones could help cushion any downward pressure.

Currently, LINK is trading around $18.4, following a recent 10% rally. This positive momentum adds weight to the bullish outlook, but the ability to overcome the $20 resistance remains the crucial factor determining LINK’s trajectory.
