Ethereum Price Analysis: Crucial Support Holds, Next Resistance in Sight
Ethereum (ETH) has demonstrated impressive resilience, surging 12.3% in the last week. This rally follows a sharp recovery from the $1,550 level on Tuesday, establishing a clear uptrend. Currently, ETH is navigating a critical juncture, having retested the $1,799 resistance and retraced to its immediate support zone.
A decisive break above $1,800 could propel ETH towards $1,840 and beyond. Conversely, a deeper pullback would test several key support areas.
From Resistance to Support: A Technical Shift
ETH’s recent ascent has successfully overcome significant resistance levels that stymied its progress throughout April. Technical analysis reveals key resistances at $1,590, $1,654, and $1,703 (hourly candlestick chart, TradingView). These levels, once obstacles, now act as crucial support, underpinning the current bullish momentum.
The $1,800 mark presents the next significant hurdle. A close above this level before the end of April could pave the way for a move towards $2,000. However, even without reaching $2,000, maintaining positions above the broken resistance levels would confirm a positive outlook.
Bullish Outlook Hinges on Key Support Levels
The prevailing bullish trend hinges on the continued strength of the newly established support at $1,590, $1,654, and $1,703. The $1,703 level offers short-term support, though it’s considered high-risk. The $1,654 support is more structurally significant, offering a medium-risk entry point. Finally, the $1,590 support provides the most favorable risk-reward profile, potentially attracting savvy investors.
As long as ETH remains above $1,703, the upward trend remains intact. A break below $1,654, however, could shift the outlook to neutral or bearish. Conversely, a successful close above $1,800 could trigger a move towards $1,840 and potentially higher levels.
