Ethereum Price Fluctuation: A Buying Opportunity?

Ethereum (ETH) recently experienced a price correction, dipping from the $4,780 mark. However, the subsequent rebound from the $4,480 support level suggests potential for further growth. This upward trajectory, exceeding $4,520 and $4,550, positions ETH above its 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. A bullish trend line, supported at $4,500 on the hourly chart (Kraken data), is also a positive indicator.

This recent surge followed an earlier increase past the $4,600 support, outperforming Bitcoin. ETH successfully breached resistance levels at $4,650, $4,700, and even $4,720 before reaching a high of $4,782. The subsequent pullback remained above the 50% Fibonacci retracement level of the move from $4,170 to $4,782, a significant bullish signal.

Currently trading above $4,550, ETH’s positive momentum is supported by the bullish trend line and its position above the 100-hourly SMA. While resistance might be encountered near $4,640, $4,680, and notably at $4,720, a decisive break above $4,720 could propel ETH towards $4,780, potentially reaching $4,880 or even $5,000.

Conversely, failure to overcome the $4,700 resistance could trigger another correction. Support levels to watch include $4,550, $4,500, $4,400, and $4,315, with a more substantial support at $4,250.

Technical Indicators:
Hourly MACD: Showing some loss of bullish momentum.

The current market situation presents a compelling case for both cautious optimism and strategic risk management. Further analysis is crucial for informed investment decisions.
