Ethereum Price Surge: Is This the Start of a Major Bull Run?

Ethereum has decisively broken through a critical resistance level, sparking excitement and speculation among investors. After weeks of consolidation, ETH’s price has surged, prompting bullish sentiment and renewed interest in the cryptocurrency. This breakthrough could mark the commencement of a significant upward trend, supported by various technical indicators.

Bullish Signals Emerge

Analyst LSplayQ highlighted the completion of a rounded bottom formation on the daily chart, a classic sign of a long-term trend reversal. This shift in market sentiment, from bearish to bullish, has set the stage for the recent price increase.

Following a period of consolidation around the $2,880 resistance level, Ethereum decisively broke through, confirming a bullish breakout. This surge positions ETH for a potential rally towards the 0.618 Fibonacci extension level at approximately $3,588 – representing a significant upside potential.

Technical Analysis and Predictions

Crypto analyst TheVALTOR corroborates this bullish outlook, noting the validation of an aggressive bullish path predicted by wave count dynamics. The completion of an extended micro wave 3, typically a dynamic phase in a five-wave sequence, suggests the current correction phase (wave 4) should be a sideways consolidation rather than a sharp pullback. Breaking $2,850 reinforced this bullish scenario.

Short-Term Consolidation and Support Levels

While the overall trend is bullish, short-term fluctuations are expected. Gemxbt identified strong intraday support near $2,950, indicating buyers’ commitment. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) shows balanced momentum, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) signals potential short-term weakness or consolidation.

A key resistance level lies at $3,000, a significant psychological and technical barrier. Overcoming this level is crucial for sustaining the bullish momentum. Potential short-term support levels include the 0.236 Fibonacci level at approximately $2,613, and immediate support at around $2,883.
