Major Crypto Exchanges Targeted: Gemini and Binance User Data Allegedly Leaked
Reports indicate a significant breach affecting Gemini and Binance users. Darkweb actors claim to possess hundreds of thousands of user records, including sensitive personal data such as names, passwords, and location information, which are reportedly being offered for sale.
According to the Dark Web Informer, a cybersecurity news site specializing in Darkweb activity, a threat actor known as AKM69 is allegedly responsible for the Gemini data breach. The claimed database contains approximately 100,000 records of U.S. users, with additional entries from Singapore and the UK. Each record reportedly includes full names, email addresses, phone numbers, and precise location data. The threat actor allegedly plans to use this data for targeted crypto-related marketing, fraud, or recovery schemes.
