Marathon Digital Holdings Achieves Record-Breaking Bitcoin Mining Revenue

Marathon Digital Holdings (formerly Marathon Digital Holdings) shattered its previous records, achieving a monumental $752 million in Bitcoin mining revenue on May 27th. This unprecedented surge is directly correlated with Bitcoin’s recent price climb to record highs.

Data from CryptoQuant confirms this milestone, highlighting it as the most lucrative day in the company’s history. Currently, Marathon holds the title of the world’s largest publicly traded Bitcoin (BTC) mining company by market capitalization.

CryptoQuant’s CEO, Ki Young Ju, corroborated this achievement in a May 27th X post, stating, “Quarterly reports are slow. Onchain shows revenue in real time.”

This record-breaking revenue follows Bitcoin’s ascent to a new all-time high of $112,000 on May 22nd. Analysts attribute this surge, in part, to the instability within the Japanese bond market and subsequent rise in bond yields.

This impressive revenue surge comes just two weeks after MARA’s Q1 earnings report, which slightly missed Wall Street expectations. The company’s Bitcoin production experienced a 19% year-over-year decrease, mainly attributed to the April 2024 Bitcoin halving.
