Ripple IPO Speculation: $100B Valuation and XRP Price Predictions

The possibility of a Ripple Initial Public Offering (IPO) is heating up as the SEC lawsuit nears resolution. With anticipation building, speculation about Ripple’s valuation is reaching fever pitch. Prominent XRP advocate and lawyer John Deaton has boldly predicted a post-IPO valuation exceeding $100 billion.

Deaton’s $100 Billion Ripple Valuation

Deaton’s prediction follows Circle’s successful IPO, where the USDC stablecoin issuer saw its valuation jump from $5 billion to over $63 billion. He argues that, given Ripple’s size and XRP’s market position (currently the 4th largest cryptocurrency, ahead of USDC), a $100 billion valuation is entirely feasible. He notes that even with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stating no immediate IPO plans, strategic timing is key to maximizing impact.

Deaton’s analysis highlights the current market environment, suggesting that if Circle’s valuation skyrocketed, Ripple, with its significant XRP holdings, could achieve an even higher valuation. He tweeted: “If Circle can hit a 62B-75B market cap then Ripple, with nearly 40B XRP, currently valued at $2 (ie $80B), could certainly hit a $100B market cap in this environment.”

It’s worth noting that Ripple recently completed a $700 million tender offer, pricing shares at $175, resulting in a $25 billion equity valuation based on 141 million outstanding shares.

The Impact on XRP Price: Potential for Double-Digit Growth?

The potential impact of a successful Ripple IPO on XRP’s price is a major talking point. Many experts believe a significant price surge is likely, with some predicting double-digit growth, potentially pushing XRP above $10. More optimistic projections even suggest XRP could reach $100 in this scenario. The symbiotic relationship between Ripple’s stock and the XRP cryptocurrency is a key factor in these predictions. However, it’s important to remember that these are speculative projections, and actual market performance may vary significantly.

While the potential for significant gains is enticing, investors should approach any investment decisions with caution and conduct thorough research before committing capital. The cryptocurrency market is inherently volatile and influenced by a multitude of factors.
