Solana Price Dips: Is This the Last Chance to Buy Before a Breakout?
The cryptocurrency market has seen its share of volatility recently, and Solana (SOL) is no exception. After reaching an eight-month high, SOL experienced a significant pullback, dropping below the crucial $200 support level. This dip follows the SEC’s delay in approving several Spot Solana ETFs, pushing the decision back to October 16, 2025. However, despite the setback, analysts remain optimistic.
While the SEC delay might seem discouraging, ETF expert James Seyffart anticipates approval by mid-October at the latest. This positive outlook, coupled with other indicators, suggests a potential buying opportunity for investors. Analyst Ali Martinez, for instance, points to a six-month ascending triangle pattern on SOL’s chart, hinting at a possible 100% rally to the $360 area once the pattern breaks out. This pattern has seen retests of resistance, with the latest occurring on Thursday.
Further supporting a bullish outlook is the recent increase in large Solana holders. The number of wallets holding over 10,000 SOL tokens has reached an all-time high, indicating strong accumulation at these price levels. This significant accumulation from high net worth wallets points to a bullish sentiment among experienced traders.
Another analyst, Sjuul from AltCryptoGems, observes Solana trading within a well-defined uptrend channel, having tested the $200 resistance level three times. Sjuul believes that maintaining support above $180 is critical for a potential breakout to all-time high levels. The $180-$190 range has consistently acted as a key support and resistance zone throughout this cycle.
Currently trading around $185, Solana presents a compelling case for investors considering a buy-the-dip strategy. While the market remains uncertain, the confluence of technical patterns, analyst predictions, and the ongoing increase in large wallet holdings suggests a potential for significant upward movement in the near future. It’s important to always conduct thorough research and manage your risk effectively before making any investment decisions.
