TJ Miller: Why Hollywood Shy’s Away From Bitcoin

Bitcoiner TJ Miller says ‘50-hour’ rule is why celebs stay off orange pill

Actor and comedian TJ Miller reveals why Bitcoin adoption among celebrities remains low: a lack of willingness to dedicate time to learning. He estimates it takes roughly 50 hours of dedicated study to grasp Bitcoin’s intricacies, a commitment many aren’t prepared to make.

“It’s incredibly difficult to convince people to commit to further study after graduation,” Miller shared in a recent interview. “To tell someone it will take 50 hours to understand Bitcoin, they often back away. They struggle even with shorter commitments, like a seven-hour Netflix series.”

Hollywood’s Resistance to Disruptive Thinking

Miller points out a significant factor: Hollywood’s preference for conformity. “Hollywood rewards those who don’t think differently,” he states. This inherent resistance to unconventional ideas translates to a reluctance to embrace Bitcoin, a technology that necessitates a fundamental shift in perspective, not just financially but also in terms of one’s view of the internet and life itself.

Miller, self-proclaimed as potentially the only celebrity Bitcoiner, acknowledges the exceptions: some celebrities launching memecoins. However, he emphasizes that these are different from a genuine understanding and adoption of Bitcoin’s underlying principles.

Despite the challenges, Miller remains dedicated to Bitcoin education. He recounts past attempts to encourage friends to invest in Bitcoin, even during the $8,000-$12,000 price range. His vision extends to a future Hollywood film chronicling the Bitcoin revolution, recognizing the complexity of condensing its decade-long journey into a cinematic narrative.

In a separate interview, Miller highlights his desire to be a credible voice in the Bitcoin community, aiming to foster greater understanding and adoption through his platform. His passion for Bitcoin is evident, and he hopes to become a trusted figure within the community.
