XRP Price Dip: Could We See a Drop Below $2?

XRP Price Correction: A Deeper Dive

XRP’s recent price action has been notably weak, battling persistent bearish pressure. Since the correction began on May 12th, XRP has consistently formed lower highs, distancing itself from its May peak of $2.65. This downturn follows a rally from $1.80 in early April. However, the upward momentum has been replaced by a clear bearish trend, with technical indicators suggesting a potential fall below $2, possibly retesting April’s lows.

Analyst Outlook: MasterAnanda’s Perspective

TradingView analyst MasterAnanda highlights a bearish short-term outlook. Their analysis reveals XRP’s breakdown from a rising channel, confirmed by three consecutive daily closes below the lower trendline. This negates the possibility of an upward bounce. While XRP currently trades above $2, sustained trading below $2.30 significantly increases the likelihood of a sharper decline.

MasterAnanda acknowledges a potential rebound, but underlying signals paint a different picture. They state, “XRPUSDT could recover at any moment, but the correction might not be over.” Interestingly, low bearish volume suggests a lack of strong selling pressure, indicating the market is drifting downward due to insufficient buying interest rather than aggressive selling.

Long-Term Bullish Sentiment Remains, but Risks Persist

Despite the short-term bearish outlook, MasterAnanda maintains a long-term bullish perspective for XRP. However, the price has already broken through the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement level and is approaching the 0.236 level at approximately $2.035. The crucial support area lies near $1.75, aligning with the analyst’s projected support zone. A failure to hold above $2 could trigger a decline toward this level.

The daily chart indicates a potential downward trajectory. Therefore, XRP traders should prepare for further downside unless a strong reversal occurs before breaking below $2. The bearish sentiment is intensifying, suggesting a retest of the $1.70-$1.80 range might be imminent if the correction continues. At the time of writing, XRP trades at $2.13, down 3.85% in the last 24 hours and 8.9% over the past seven days.
