XRP Price Prediction: 50%+ Correction Possible, Warns Veteran Trader Peter Brandt
While Bitcoin enjoys a rally, XRP lags, leaving some analysts concerned. This week, XRP has underperformed the broader crypto market, despite gains in other altcoins. The altcoin is down 4.7% over the past seven days, halting the 11% rally following the Ripple SEC lawsuit news. Trading volume has also decreased significantly, dropping 35% from $4 billion to $2.6 billion.
Expert Opinions Diverge on XRP’s Future
Veteran trader Peter Brandt has voiced concern, identifying a \”textbook\” head-and-shoulders pattern that suggests a potential drop to $1.07. A break below $1.90 could trigger a 55% correction, Brandt warns. However, a price move above $3 would invalidate this bearish pattern.

Conversely, Javon Marks points to a positive breakout, citing XRP’s price and RSI exceeding their falling wedge patterns. He suggests this could indicate a substantial surge, referencing a past similar scenario that led to a 570% price increase.

Is the Correction Call Premature?
Technically, predicting a retest of $1.07 may be premature. While XRP has trended downward since the start of 2025, the $1.90 level has only been tested thrice since November 2024. The lack of a daily close below $2 suggests investor support in this region. Furthermore, rising spot market volumes support continued investor interest.

Order flow analyst Dom emphasizes the importance of the next couple of weeks, stating that clear breaks above or below specific levels will determine XRP’s direction. The $2.50 level remains a critical level to watch, having acted as both support and resistance.
