XRP Whale Activity Explodes: Record High for Large Holders
Recent on-chain data reveals a significant surge in XRP activity, driven by a record number of whale and shark wallets. Analytics firm Santiment highlights this trend, showing a dramatic increase in the number of wallets holding over 1 million XRP tokens—a new all-time high.
This influx of large holders, often representing millions of dollars in XRP, suggests a bullish sentiment among significant investors. The number of wallets in this category has surpassed 2,708, a substantial leap from previous levels. This development is further bolstered by a concurrent spike in daily active addresses on the XRP ledger. Daily active addresses recently averaged 295,000, a dramatic increase from the 35,000-40,000 range seen in the preceding months.
Santiment notes that “The XRP ledger is showing serious signs of growth, from both a usage and key stakeholder perspective.” This combination of increased whale accumulation and heightened network activity paints a positive picture for XRP’s future.
While XRP briefly touched $2.33 following this news, it has since retraced slightly. However, the underlying indicators suggest strong underlying strength. It remains to be seen how this increased activity will affect the price in the coming weeks and months.
