XRP’s 2017 Rally Repeating? A 20x Surge Potential?
XRP’s price has been fluctuating between $2.195 and $2.25 over the past three days. While it has seen a correction from January’s peak of $3.3, a significant bullish signal is emerging. A two-month candlestick chart reveals a strong green body, indicating bullish control despite short-term volatility.
A Historic Pattern Returns
Interestingly, a technical pattern reminiscent of XRP’s explosive 2017 rally has reappeared. Crypto analyst JD on X (formerly Twitter) highlights XRP breaking out of a long-term triangle pattern, similar to the setup in early 2017. This triangle, characterized by a flat resistance and a rising support trendline, saw XRP break above resistance, ultimately reaching a multi-year high.
Stochastic RSI Cross Above 80
Further bolstering the bullish outlook is a bullish cross on the Stochastic RSI (SRSI) above the 80 level. This crucial crossover hasn’t been seen since 2017, preceding XRP’s remarkable 20x gain. JD’s analysis shows the same SRSI cross now appearing on the two-month chart.
The 2017 Parallel: A 20x Target?
The 2017 SRSI cross triggered a four-month rally from ~$0.15 to ~$3.40. If history repeats, a similar move could propel XRP towards a target price of ~$45. While ambitious, this possibility stems from the striking resemblance to the 2017 scenario. Currently priced at $2.2, a substantial rally from the recent SRSI cross could send XRP to new all-time highs.
